Here’s What’s Happening In The Shire On Australia Day 2023
Thursday the 26th of January is Australia Day and there's a lot happening in the Sutherland Shire. The Sutherland Shire Council acknowledges Australia Day carries different meanings for every Australian/member of our community.
They have chosen a program of events to be reflective of the Australia Day Council theme: Reflect, Respect, Celebrate.
Commencing with a sunset cultural ceremony and including major concerts, outdoor cinemas and pool parties at our Leisure Centres, the council are delivering an epic program for our community over three days.

Australia Day 2023 - Concert On The Beach
Don’t miss our iconic beachside concert featuring headline performers Sheppard, together with Samantha Jade, locals Caravãna Sun, Jess and Matt and the Royal Australian Navy Band.

Australia Day 2023 - Cinema Under the Stars
Watch DC League Of Super Pets (PG) as part of our family friendly outdoor cinema experience. Including garden games, free popcorn and local acoustic performances.

Australia Day EVE Celebrations @CronullaRSL
The Cronulla RSL is kicking off the celebrations with an Australia Day Eve Mega Raffle drawn at 6:30pm on Bay Level. Win Pacific Blue Gourmet Meat Vouchers, Wish Gift cards and alcohol packs. Click HERE for more info
Australia Day 2023 - Symphony By the Beach Concert
Watch the sunset over Cronulla Beach whilst listening to musical, operatic and classical pieces showcasing local performers and musical theatre favourites.

Australia Day 2023 - Leisure Centre Pool Parties

Sunset Cultural Ceremony
Come together as our Aboriginal elders share stories and culture. Featuring traditional dance, music, yarning circle, workshops, art stallholders and displays by local community leaders.

Australia Day Spectacular Fireworks Finale!
YES! The famous Australia Day Fireworks display on South Cronulla Beach is back for 2023. The HUGE conclusion to the weekend kicks off at 9pm.
