The fourth Viking Festival at Sussex Inlet is planned for the June long weekend, 8th and 9th June, and once again an amazing Festival program offers so many exciting opportunities designed to appeal, not only to the Shoalhaven district, but to the wider Sydney community.

The Festival Opening Flotilla is a celebration of Sussex Inlets boating history with our traditional wooden boats, Dragon Boats and a traditional indigenous Nawai escorting special guests, representatives of the Ellmoos Family and Indigenous Elders on the Inlet to the Festival ground.

The Festival showcases a traditional Viking village with tents and fire pits, experience how the Viking lived and watch re-enactments of the fierce battles and games that Vikings played.

As an added feature the Knights of Albion will also be performing at the Festival and will entertain everyone with armed combat activities.

There will be an expanded First Nations Cultural Precinct including a partnership with the Yuill Trail project and Gadhunghal Marring that will provide some indigenous cultural and educational activities for festival ticket holders to engage with.
